Adam J. Maschino

Born: August 21, 1853     Died: April 21, 1930

Adam Maschino, age seventy-six, widely known farmer, died Monday afternoon at 3:50 o'clock at his home near Four Corners, east of here, following an illness of about one week with complications.

Mr. Maschino was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Maschino and was born near Four Corners August 21, 1853.   All his life was spent in the vicinity of Four Corners.   He was married October 14, 1879 to Miss Anna Speckner, who survives him.   Besides the widow, he leaves five daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Vogel, of Malcom, Iowa, Mrs. Tillie Bertram, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Mrs. Rose Roessler, and Mrs. Florence Osterhage, both of Dayton, Kentucky, and Mrs. Dora Butler, of this city, and three sons, Frank, Henry and Leo, all of Jennings county.   He also leaves two brothers, John Maschino, of Seymour, and Andrew, of Jennings county, a sister, Mrs. Barbara Krackenburger, of Jennings county, and twenty-six grandchildren.

Mr. Maschino was an industrious and successful farmer and his friends and neighbors admired him for his honesty and integrity.   He was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic church at Four Corners.   He was much interested in the welfare of the community in which he lived and his friendship was highly valued.

The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9 o'clock at the St. Joseph church conducted by the Reverend Father Mathias Schmitz.   Burial at the Four Corners cemetery.
