Mr. Reeves had been ill only since Tuesday, when he suffered a stroke.
Reared in the Hayden community, he was widely known throughout Jackson and Jennings county, and he leaves many friends here who mourn his death.
For more than 40 years Mr. Reeves had served as an instructor in instrument tuning at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Pearl Reeves; three sons, Paul, James and Alan Reeves; one daughter, Mrs. Carroll Groom; one sister, Mrs. Stella Loomis, of Indianapolis; and two brothers, Walter Reeves, of this city, and Oscar Reeves, of Indianapolis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in Cincinnati, with burial in a cemetery there.

Services for Alfred T. Reeves, a member of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music faculty for 21 years, who retired as head of the piano technology course in September, 1952, will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Dalbert funeral home, Price Hill. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Cemetery, Mount Healthy.
Born in Hayden, Indiana, 74 years ago, Mr. Reeves lived at 2919 Lehman Road. He died Thursday in St. Francis Hospital after a short illness. He was a member of Six Mile Lodge, F&AM, at Hayden.
Before joining the Conservatory faculty, Mr. Reeves was associated with the Baldwin Piano Company for 22 years. In 1945, because of the demands of returning war veterans, Mr. Reeves was made head of a new 30-week piano technology course for those interested in tuning, servicing and repairing pianos.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pearl Reeves; a daughter,
