He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Dudleytown and worked for 31 years at the Jay C warehouse in Seymour.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel with the Reverend Frederick Mildenburger officiating.   Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday.   Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Four Corners.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charities.

Mr. Osterman was born January 4, 1948, in Jackson County, the son of Robert, Sr. and Lorraine Johnson Osterman.   He married Donna Simmons January 7, 1978, in Seymour.   She survives.

Other survivors include children, Denise Tormoehlen Beeler of Seymour and Michael Tormoehlen of Eaton; brothers, Thomas Osterman of Nevada and Robert Osterman, Jr. of Dudleytown; and grandchildren, Jack Whitaker, William Beeler and Adam Beeler.
