Clarence Herman "Bud" Hinnefeld

Born: December 8, 1920     Died: June 30, 1994

Clarence H. Hinnefeld, 73, of Seymour died at 7:17 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 1994, at Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.

Mr. Hinnefeld retired in 1982 after 17 years with Cummins Engine Company, Columbus.   He worked for 14 years for 7-Up Bottling Company.

He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served as a sergeant in the 404th Bomb Squadron/Heavy B-24.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, both of Seymour.

Born December 8, 1920, in Vallonia, he was a son of Clarence and Clara Claybaker Hinnefeld.   On March 25, 1945, he married Mary M. Kasting in Seymour.   She died March 29, 1980.   On February 14, 1981, he married Martha Elsner French in Seymour, She survives.

Other survivors include three children, Mrs. Charles (Sharon) Wolter and Cindy Hauersperger, both of Seymour; and Jerry W. Hinnefeld, Bloomington; three stepchildren, Irvin French, Long Island, New York; Mrs. Jerry (Judy) Carmer, Seymour; and Larry French, Four Corners; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Myrtle) Bieckman, Clarksville; five grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, two step-step-grandchildren and six great-step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.

The Reverend Joseph Sheets will conduct services at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, with interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.

Military graveside services will be conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89 and Disabled American Veterans Post 47, all of Seymour.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour.   Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Voss Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be given to the donor's choice.
