He was an electrical maintenance manager at Cummins Engine Company, Columbus, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Crothersville, and Crothersville Masonic Lodge.
The son of L. P. and Helen Philpot Garrison, Crothersville R2, was born December 7, 1940 in Manchester, Kentucky.
He married Velma Baurley on May 25, 1959, in Crothersville and had lived most of his life in Jackson County.
Surviving with the parents and wife are three children, Billy David Garrison and James Leonard Garrison, both of Crothersville R2, and Mary Kathleen Garrison, at home, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Garrison, Crothersville R2.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church, Crothersville, with the Reverend Joe Reggin officiating. Burial will be in Uniontown Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Voss Mortuary and from 12:30 until time of service Sunday at the church.
Memorials may be designated to the First Presbyterian Church, Crothersville.
