Francis A. Hauersperger

Born: October 4, 1918     Died: February 18, 1947

Francis A. Hauersperger, 28, resident of this vicinity practically all his life, died late Tuesday afternoon at Schneck Memorial Hospital.   He had been ill for the past two weeks.

Mr. Hauersperger, who lived at 402 South Chestnut street, was born October 4, 1918, at Thomasboro, Illinois, the son of John P. and Pearl R. Downs Hauersperger, who survives.

Mr. Hauersperger was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church and was a welder for Noblitt-Sparks Industries.   A host of friends throughout Jackson and Jennings counties mourn his death.

Besides the parents and widow, he is survived by one son, Gilbert A. Hauersperger, at home; four brothers, Paul, of Columbus; Horace, John Jr., and Dale, all at home in Jennings county and eight sisters, Mrs. Margaret Beineke, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Myrtle Meranda, of Jennings county; Mrs. Opal Speck of Hayden; Mrs. Cordelia Speck, Mrs. Goldie Taskey, and Miss Elmalee Hauersperger, all of Seymour; Esther and Sarah, both of Jennings county.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Friday morning from the St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Robert J. Wilhelm in charge.   Burial in the Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary at any time.   Rosary will be recited Thursday night at 7:45 o'clock at the mortuary.

Rosary will be held by the members of the Knights of Columbus at 8:30 o'clock tonight.   All members have been requested to meet at the club.
