Mr. Maschino, who lived at 217 South Vine Street, had been ill for several months and had been a hospital patient since January 30.
He was born January 17, 1886, in Jennings county, the son of the late Adam and Anna Speckner Maschino. He moved to this county in 1933 and was engaged in farming. He was employed by the Reliance Manufacturing Company until his retirement in 1951.
He was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was married November 18, 1913, at Four Corners to the former Mary Vogel, who survives.
Mr. Maschino was an admired and respected citizen and will be greatly missed by his many friends in this area.
Survivors in addition to the widow are 12 children: Mrs. Walter Brylinski of Melvinedale, Michigan; Orville Maschino, of Des Plains, Illinois; Mrs Calvin Thoele of Seymour; Dolores Maschino, at home; Mrs. Harrell Hess of Seymour; Mrs. Theodore Henkle of Seymour; Mrs. Howard Hill of Arlington, Texas; Mrs. John Thomas of Cornwells Heights, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Kenneth Kvaal of St. Paul, Minnesota; Marvin Maschino of Seymour; Joseph Maschino of Ft. Knox, Kentucky; and Anthony Maschino of Seymour.
Additional survivors are a brother, Henry Maschino of Seymour R2; four sisters, Mrs. Nicholas Vogel of Malcom, Iowa; Mrs. Joe Butler of Seymour; Mrs. Rose Roessler of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Mrs. Joseph Osterhage of Dayton, Kentucky; and 22 grandchildren.
Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Mr. Maschino will be conducted Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the St. Ambrose Catholic Church with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Voss Mortuary. Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after 7 p.m. tonight.
