Mr. Vogel operated his own construction business for several years before working for Dave O'Mara Contractor.   He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Jennings County Community Building Board and the Labor Union.

He graduated from Jennings County High School in 1982, and he farmed with his father.

Funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Reverend Joseph Brown officiating.

Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Vance-Fisher-Sawyer Funeral Home, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Burial will be at St. Joseph's Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Vogel Children Trust Fund at Home Federal Savings Bank.

Mr. Vogel was born in Seymour October 28, 1964, the son of Charles and Beverly Wilkerson Vogel of North Vernon.

He married Caryn Beam.   She survives.

Other survivors include sons, Kyle and Clayton Vogel and a daughter Cirstyn Vogel, all of North Vernon; brothers, Michael and Scott Vogel, both of North Vernon; sisters, Melissa Skirvan of Vevay and Barbara Pfung of Indianapolis; and grandmothers, Mary L. Wilkerson of Scipio and Edith Vogel of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher D. Vogel; grandfathers, Kenneth Wilkerson and Sylvester Vogel; and a grandmother, Irene Vogel.
