She was united in marriage to William Mills. To this union four children were born. Mr. Mills passed away in 1971.
Mrs. Mills had made her home in the St. James area for 15 years before moving to Crystal Lake. While living in St. James she was employed as a bookkeeper for Verkamp Lumber Company. She had made her home in Crystal Lake for the past three years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.
She is survived by four children: William Mills of Crystal Lake, Richard Mills of St. James, Mark Mills of Chicago, and Rosemary Stuba also of Chicago; three brothers, Russell Hauersperger of Urbana, Thomas Hauersperger of Urbana, and Jerry Hauersperger of Wisconsin, three sisters: Anna Mae Somers of Urbana, Madge Reinhart of Florida, and Alice Hauersperger of Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 12, 1981 at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Reverend Sean Smythe officiating. Mrs. Ira Wilson provided the organ music. Interment in the Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary.
