Born in Seymour, Indiana, he came to Inverness two years ago from San Francisco, California.   He was a photo lab processor and an Air Force veteran who served in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his mother, Opal Speck of Inverness; a brother, James L. Speck of Inverness; and a sister, Susan Tully of St. Petersburg.
