Mrs. Vogel was born in Jennings County January 13, 1913 the daughter of Henry and Rose Megel Elsner, who survive. She was married in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Four Corners, November 20, 1935 to Sylvester Vogel, who also survives.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. A lifetime resident of Jennings County Mrs. Vogel enjoyed the respect and companionship of many friends. A number of persons in Jennings and Jackson Counties are shocked to hear of her sudden and untimely death.
Surviving besides her husband and parents, are 10 children, Charles, Anna Mae, Kathlene, Thomas, Elizabeth, Jeanette, Robert, Marie and Paul, all at home and Leonard Joseph, born at the hospital; five brothers, Ambrose Elsner, Seymour; Carl Elsner, Schnectady, New York; Oscar Elsner, Jennings County; four sisters, Mrs. Martha French, Seymour; Mrs. Agnes Cardinal, Seymour R2; Mrs Stella Vogel, Seymour R2; Mrs. Helen Hauersperger, North Vernon.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Four Corners, with the Reverend Edward Eisenman, pastor, officiating. Burial in Four Corners Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after 7 p.m. Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited at the Mortuary at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
