John Ferdinand Elsner

Born: January 18, 1862     Died: December 19, 1950

John F. Elsner, eighty-four years old, a resident of Four Corners, died Tuesday, December 19th at the home of his daughter Mrs. Fred Haettich at Cincinnati, Ohio.   Funeral services were held Friday morning at St. Joseph Church at Four Corners with solemn Requiem High Mass, the Reverend Edward Eisenman officiating.   Burial took place in St. Joseph Cemetery.

He was a native of the Four Corners neighborhood, born January 18, 1862, the son of John and Mary Kiefer Elsner.   In September 1890 he was married to Frances Weisel whose death occurred in 1848.   He is survived by six children: August Elsner, of Flourtown, Pennsylvania; Henry Elsner of Route 4, North Vernon; Mrs. William Haag of Indianapolis; Mrs. Fred Haettich of Cincinnati; Frank Elsner of Seymour; and John Elsner of Louisville, Kentucky; also by twenty-two grandchildren.
