Mr. Thomas was a heavy equipment operator. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 in Seymour and a member and past commander of Chapter 47 of Disabled American Veterans in Seymour.
Born May 20, 1924, in Philadelphia, he was a son of Wilbur and Mae Lamar Thomas. On July 2, 1954, in Orlando, Florida, he married Mildred Maschino, and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael J. Thomas and Scott A. Thomas, both of Seymour; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Darlage Thomas, Seymour; two grandsons, John Clinton thomas and Cory M. Thomas, both of Seymour; a twin brother, Sam Thomas, Silverbow, Montana; and a sister, Jean taylor, Warminster, Pennsylvania.
The Reverend John P. Drush will conduct services at 11 a.m. Monday at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour, with burial to take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Sauers School Playground Fund or Hospice through Memorial Hospital.
