Lena A. Kirsch Megel

Born: February 8, 1869     Died: May 9, 1943

Mrs. Lena Megel, seventy-four years old, died Sunday, May 9th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Archie Maschino, in Dayton, Ohio.   The body was brought to Four Corners and funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church there, conducted by the pastor, the Reverend Joseph Laugel.   Burial took place in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mrs. Megel was born in Jennings County, February 8, 1869, the daughter of the late Balsar Kirsch and Mary Rutz Kirsch.   On April 22, 1890 she was married to Peter Megel who died a year ago.   She spent her life in the Four Corners community, going to her daughter’s home a short time before her death.   She was a devout member of St. Joseph Church.

She is survived by three children: Carl Megel, of Chicago, Illinois; Miss Emma Megel at home, and Mrs. Elnora Maschino, of Dayton, Ohio; also by one brother, Adam Kirsch, of Indianapolis; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry F. Elsner, of Jackson County, and Mrs. George Ackerman, of North Vernon.
