Born December 15, 1903, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Jacob and Catherine Mang Megel.   She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the St. Joseph's Rosary Society.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.   Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pickett Funeral Home.   Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.   Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by a niece, Cathy Branham of North Vernon, and two nephews, Edward Megel of North Vernon and Steven Megel of Brownstown, whom she raised; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Five sisters, Jennie Hauersperger, Clara Carr, Mary Speckner, Margaret Megel and Rose Elsner, and one brother, Joe Megel, preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to Jennings Community Hospital or Rescue 20.
