Lonnie Ray Smith, Sr.

Lonnie R. Smith, 49, of Seymour died Wednesday, August 11, 1999, at Community Care Center in Seymour.

He lived in North Vernon until 17 months ago when he moved to Community Care Center.

Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Vance-Fisher-Sawyer Funeral Home with Bob Ochs officiating.   Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today.   Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Smith was born in Vernon March 22, 1950, the son of the late Ollie J. and Erma J. Caldwell Smith.

Surviving are brothers, Jim and Travis Smith, both of North Vernon, and Carl Smith of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; sons, Greg Smith of North Vernon and Lonnie Smith of Seymour; and a daughter, Angie Smith of Seymour.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold “Buddy” Smith; and a son, Eric Smith.
