Mrs. Hinnefeld lived most of her life in Jennings and Jackson counties and was a former waitress at the Elks Lodge. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Legion of Mary.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Reverends Joseph Sheets, John Hall, Ryan McCarthy and Joseph Moriarty officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Voss & Sons Funeral Chapel and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Four Corners.
Memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Born at Four Corners April 11, 1915, Mrs. Hinnefeld was the daughter of Henry and Rose Megel Elsner. She married Lawrence J. French July 25, 1935, at Four Corners. She married Clarence Hinnefeld February 14, 1981, in Seymour.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Carmer of Seymour; sons, Irvin L. French of Huntington, New York, and Lawrence J. French of Four Corners; stepdaughters, Sharon Wolter and Cindy Hauersperger, both of Seymour; a stepson, Jerry Hinnefeld of Ellettsville; a sister, Helen Hauersperger of Four Corners; brothers, Carl Elsner of Houston, Paul Elsner of Greensburg and Oscar Elsner of Four Corners; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband on January 3, 1978; her second husband on June 30, 1994; sisters, Irene Elsner Vogel, Agnes Cardinal and Stella Vogel; and brothers, Ambrose and Omer Elsner.
