Mary Dorothy 'Dorothy' Daringer

Mary Dorothy Banta, 94, of Seymour died Saturday, August 27, 2005, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour, with the Reverend Todd Goodson officiating.   Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Voss Funeral Service and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church.   A rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.   Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Lutheran Community Home, Hospice of South Central Indiana, or the donor’s choice of charities.

Survivors include children, Mary Jean Adair of Louisville, Kentucky, Edwin J. Banta of Carmel, James M. Banta of Indianapolis and Martha Griffin of Columbus; a sister, Frances Schultz of North Vernon; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Edwin J. Banta.
