Omer William Elsner

Omer W. Elsner, 78, of Naples, Florida, died Friday, September 7, 2001, in Tampa, Florida.

He served in the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II and worked with TWA for 44 years.

Born September 13, 1922, in North Vernon, he was the son of Henry and Rose Megel Elsner.   On June 7, 1947, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, he married Bertha Richart and she survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Patricia and Rudi Petersen, Fresno, California, and Nancy and Fred Daues, St. Louis; a son, Bill and Joan Elsner, Denver; grandchildren, Mark Petersen, Fresno, California, Stacey, Katie and Greg Elsner, all of Denver, and Jessica, Freddy and Christopher Daues, all of St. Louis; three step-grandchildren, Suzanne, Steven and Matthew Peterson, all of New York; four sisters, Martha Hinnefeld, Seymour, and Agnes Cardinal, Stella Vogel and Helen Hauersperger, all of North Vernon; and three brothers, Carl Elsner, Houston, Texas, Paul Elsner, Greensburg, and Oscar Elsner, North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Vogel, and a brother, Ambrose Elsner.

The Reverend John Hall will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour.   Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.   There will be no public visitation.

Fuller Funeral Home, Naples, Florida, handled funeral arrangements, and Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Seymour, handled local arrangements.

Memorials may be given to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
