Rosa Elizabeth "Rose" Megel Elsner

Born: April 26, 1891     Died: March 28, 1959

Mrs. Rosa Elsner, age 67, of Route 4, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 28, at the Robert Long Hospital, Indianapolis, following a six month illness.   Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9:00 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Reverend Edward Eisenman in charge and burial in Four Corners Cemetery.

Mrs. Elsner, the daughter of Jacob and Catherine Elsner, was born April 26, 1891, in Jennings County.   She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and had lived in Jennings her entire lifetime.   April 2, 1913, she was married to Henry Elsner, who survives.

Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Martha French of Seymour; Mrs. Agnes Cardinal, Mrs. Stella Vogel and Mrs. Helen Hauersperger of North Vernon; five sons, Ambrose of Seymour; Carl of Scotia, New York; Paul of Greensburg; Omer of Long Island, New York; and Oscar of North Vernon; one brother, Joseph Megel of North Vernon; five sisters, Mrs. Clara Carr, Mrs. Jennie Hauersperger, Mrs. Mary Speckner and Miss Lena Megel of North Vernon and Miss Margaret Megel of Seymour; and 44 grandchildren.   A daughter, Mrs. Irene Vogel, preceded her in death.
