Velma F. Reeves, 82, of South State Street, North Vernon, died at 12: 15 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 1993, at Jackson County Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, April 2nd, at Dove and Sharp Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill McCoy officiating. Burial will be at Cana Cemetery. Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Born July 16, 1910, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of George and Eva Carlock Owen. She is a 1929 graduate of Paris Crossing High School. She married Roger Reeves in 1938. He died in November 1978.
Mrs. Reeves was a homemaker, a member of the Coffee Creek Christian Church, the Republican Women's Club and a former member of the Seymour Eagles Lodge.
She is survived by a sister, Elsie Kisar of Carmel; three nieces, Mary J. Sullivan, Michigan, Sharon Langdon, Crothersville and Mrs. Virgil Wheeler, Anderson; four nephews Gordon Owen of North Vernon, Glen Owen, Anderson, Richard Walker, Florida, and Robert Walker, Anderson.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Owen and a sister Opal Walker.
