William Wilkes

William Wilkes, 52, R.R. 1, Fountaintown died at 10:10 a.m. today at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.   He had been ill for about ten months.

The son of Edward and Lula (Tracy) Wilkes he was born November 16, 1912, in Van Buren Township, Shelby County, Indiana and had lived in the community all his life.   He was married to Esther Nichter, November 7, 1953 and she survives with two step-children, Thomas Rascoe and Mrs. Marvin (Karen) Carter, both of R.R. 1, Fountaintown and three grandchildren.   He is also survived by one brother, Paul Wilkes, R.R. 1, Fountaintown.

Mr. Wilkes was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II.

Services are Monday morning at 10 o’clock at Frazier Funeral Home in Morristown with Reverend Glen Beck officiating.   Burial is in the Fountaintown Cemetery.   Friends may call at the mortuary after 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
