William A. 'Bill' Schultz, Sr., 88, of Seymour died at 5:15 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2003, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Schultz retired in 1974 from General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Chicago and managed apartment buildings in California from 1974 to 1984. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both in Seymour, and North Vernon Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He served with the Army in Europe during World War II.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Reverend John Hall officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Pickett Funeral Home.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
Born in Vincennes July 5, 1915, Mr. Schultz was the son of Henry C. and Louise T. Ertle Schultz. He married Frances Louise Daringer May 29, 1937, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mry Ann hagler of Burbank, California; sons, John D. Schultz of Sherman Oaks, California and William A. Schultz, Jr. of Raleigh, North Carolina; and a sister, Helen McAuliffe of North Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents.
